What are the major cybersecurity issues businesses face today and how ZettaOnline help address them?

In my five years or a little more of experience, I still believe phishing remains one of the most common and dangerous threats to businesses. It’s easy for people to fall for, and it can cause serious damage. Despite regular security awareness training, phishing attacks continue to succeed. Many people are aware of the risks, yet still click on malicious links or download harmful files. Once that happens, the real danger begins. This is why security training needs to be taken more seriously – phishing can happen to anyone, often when you least expect it. Another area that maybe gets overlooked is security in programming.

Many developers prioritize functionality over security – if the code works, it’s considered good enough. But is that really the right approach? Writing secure code can be challenging, but there are basic guidelines like the OWASP Top 10 and simple practices, such as escaping characters where user input is involved. We also create trainings for the developers because small steps can make a big difference in protecting both the code and the business. At ZettaOnline we try to make these trainings interesting and explain all these threats, tactics or best practices. We are trying to keep up to date and always help each other.

How do you ensure that your cybersecurity knowledge and skills remain current in a rapidly evolving landscape?

To stay updated in cybersecurity, it’s important to be proactive and keep learning. Keeping your interest in this field is key. There are many great resources like cybersecurity blogs, forums, and news sites that help you stay informed about new technologies, attack methods, and vulnerabilities. You can also find interesting YouTubers who create high-quality content on these topics. Also being part of a good team helps too – when someone else is staying on top of things and shares updates, it makes it easier to stay in the loop and learn new things.
